How brush coating works.

Brush coating is a method of applying a protective layer to the interior of pipes. This is typically done to repair cracked and compromised pipes and to prevent corrosion, which can significantly degrade the pipe’s lifespan and lead to leaks, blockages, and reduced water flow. Brush coating involves manually applying an epoxy or polyurethane coating material using a brush to the inner surface of the pipe. This method is often used for smaller diameter pipes and in situations where access for other coating methods like CIPP is limited. Depending on the number of applied coats and thickness of coating, a new, seamless semi-structural rehabilitation should last 30-50 years.
